The Straight Shots
------------------

once you have drawn target's COURSE on map and you have calculate target's SPEED ,you can use this attacking method if you want to achieve a STRAIGHT shot to the target.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
WARNING 1: TDC must be ALWAYS on MANUAL during the attacking procedure.

WARNING 2: at this attacking method your GYROANGLE must be set at 0 degrees.
turn TDC to manual mode , adjust gyroangle to 0 degrees (via bearing's dial) and NEVER switch TDC to auto mode from now on. scope can be used freelly.
or you can set the desired value to gyro angle (0 degrees) like this: TDC on auto mode and move your scope.when GYRO is showing the 0 degrees ,switch TDC to manual and NEVER switch it back to auto from now on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

at my example i have drawn target's course on map and have calculate its speed that is 5 knots

step 1:
-------
once you have drawn target's course on map, adjust YOUR COURSE that way so the angle lb (angle between yours and target's course) to be either 10 or 20 or 30 or.....or 170 degrees.

pic 1

at my example ,i have adjusted my course that way so the angle lb to be 60 degrees.

NOTE 1: becuase this is the angle that torpedo's course will intercept target's course you must prefer that angle ( lb ) to be between 70 to 110 degrees.

step 2:
-------

we will shot the target with a fast torpedo (44kts) . bring up the table with the mark ''44 Kts''
at this pic you can see how to use the tables

pic 2

the tables are giving you the SHOOTING BEARING. so, at my example the shooting bearing is 5,3 degrees . that's it !!
we will shot the target with a fast torpedo when target is at 5,3 degrees on periscope's bearing . the impact will be at 0 degrees ( straight shot...remember...)

step 3:
-------

lock your scope on target or point it at bearing 5,3 degrees and wait the target to ''reach'' at this bearing. when this done, just....FIRE !

pic 3

and the impact will be at 0 degrees bearing ...

pic 4

=======================================================================

NOTE 2: if target have passed the shooting bearing ,point your scope at shooting bearing ,leave it there and speed up forward (or backward depending of the situation) WITHOUT CHANGING YOUR COURSE. wait until the vertical line of scope 'catch' the target and ...shoot !

NOTE 3: the tables are NOT for use with acoustic torps (acoustic torps's speeds are not 30,40 or 44 kts)
